THE HISTORY

Da Lucio was founded in 2019 in Via Santa Maria al Mare in Rimini, in a small neighbourhood restaurant in the ethnic area between the station and Piazza Ferrari, with the idea of serving the best fish from our sea. A few months after opening, due to circumstances beyond our control, namely the pandemic, the business was moved to Viale Amerigo Vespucci 71, near the Rimini seafront. Our cuisine stands out for its use of almost exclusively large fish, whose taste and texture are enhanced by the dry ageing technique. It is important for us to be able to enhance even the less noble parts of the product: offal becomes one of the stars of our menu, our treasure. Da Lucio's menu is always changing, using seasonal ingredients, cooked mainly on a charcoal grill and in a wood-fired oven. Fire is a magical element, giving the product an ancestral character. In September 2024, thanks to Nicolas Barosi joining the company and the team, Da Lucio moved to Viale Ortigara 80 in Rimini, its current location.

THE TEAM

Da Lucio's greatest success is undoubtedly the incredible team of more than 30 people who work at the restaurant. Many young people from all over Italy and beyond, united by a desire to learn, share and create unique experiences. In the dining room, hospitality is the focus of our attention: a tailor-made approach in which the elegance and professionalism of the French maître is combined with the meticulous hospitality of Romagna. In the kitchen, thought and passion combine with technique to give rise to a unique expression of our own. A large wood-fired oven and a charcoal grill are the driving force behind our kitchen, located right in the centre of the dining room, to highlight the skilled work of our staff and provide a special experience for our customers.

THE DARSENA

In the beating heart of the Adriatic Sea, where the blue of the waves merges with the horizon, stands the restaurant ‘Da Lucio’, a veritable island built on the rocks and located on the Rimini dock. A fully immersive experience where the environment reflects the sea itself: the sensation of being suspended above the water, the sight of waves dancing around you... “The sea outside and the sea inside” is what sets Da Lucio apart, a place where Jacopo Ticchi's dream becomes everyone's experience.

Our daily focus is on serving high-quality ingredients, the result of relentless research and valuable relationships with our partners.
We do this by putting our research at the centre, asking ourselves every day what the right path is, without fear of making mistakes or starting from scratch.
We want to positively influence people, making our restaurant a cultural destination, where dishes can go beyond simple enjoyment of taste: for us, food is a vehicle for ideas, and we dream that this will lead us to question ourselves and improve for a more ethical future.
Da Lucio wants to become a reference point for new catering and an inspiration for new generations.
